Tik Tok Integration

About:

TikTok is a social media platform where people create, share, and watch short-form videos—typically ranging from a few seconds up to 10 minutes. The TikTok Echo integration allows you to manage comments under your videos through the Echo Platform. you can read, reply, or comment from the Echo "Social Media" area where your videos and comments will display.

How to Connect Your TikTok Account:

Go to the TikTok Integration page in Echo https://TENANTNAME.echoglobal.org/admin/integrations/tiktok

Review the information on the page, including the Terms of Service and Privacy Policies.

When you are ready to add your TikTok account, select the button that says "I have read and accept all policies above for both TikTok and Echo Global"

Next, it will ask you to log in to the TikTok account, then will ask to verify the account with the account password.

It will then have you do a verification puzzle.

After the puzzle, it will send you a verification code that you will have 60 seconds to input.

After verification, you will see what permissions Echo is requesting of your TikTok account. Make sure all are selected. And click continue.

You will be taken back to the main TikTok Integration page in Echo.

Click “I have read…” again.

You should now see your TikTok account listed under Existing Integrations.

Make sure you add the TikTok account to a permission set.

You're all set! As people post comments on your TikTok videos, you will see them come into the Social Media area of Echo where you can read and reply to comments, or add a comment of your own.

Add Video by URL:

While you videos will come into Echo automatically when new comments are added to the video, you can also add a specific video URL directly to Echo once you account is connected. This may be helpful if you want video comments to come into Echo for videos that are older than the TikTok connection with Echo.

Select the TikTok account where the video is locationed, then paste in the URL from TikTok for that video. You will see the added video under the "videos" area on the integration page. (You may need to refresh your browser to see it).

Limitations:

Currently, the TikTok integration only allows for management of comments. The API does not support live stream data (live chats, gifts, etc.) nor does it allow for management of Inbox messages. We will review the API documentation occasionally for future updates.
